The City Council is the legislative body of our city. It is responsible for making laws and policies that govern our city. The Council is made up of elected representatives from each of the city's districts.
The City Council has a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Passing laws and ordinances
Approving the city budget
Setting tax rates
Providing oversight of city departments
Representing the interests of city residents
The City Council meets regularly to discuss and vote on proposed laws and policies. The Council also holds public hearings to get input from residents on important issues.
If you have any questions or concerns about the City Council, you can contact your Council representative or the City Clerk's office.
The City Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to the City Council. The City Clerk also serves as the custodian of city records.
